The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russell shoots in for a takedown but Arroyo shows good takedown defense.
Russell takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Arroyo lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Russell fails in his attempt to clinch.
Russell on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Russell gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Arroyo scores with a jab to the body.
Russell takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Russell looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Arroyo thuds his right hand into Russell's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Arroyo manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Arroyo lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Russell backwards.

Arroyo lands a big right hand that drops Russell! The killer instinct kicks in and Arroyo finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Arroyo!

A very excited looking Javier Arroyo rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
