Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, Louie Litt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Troy Kirkland!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirkland throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kirkland checks a leg kick.
Litt feints and then cracks Kirkland's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kirkland down.
Litt definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Kirkland misses with a body shot.
Kirkland tries to clinch there but Litt circles away.
A nice inside leg kick there by Litt. That's going to slow Kirkland down.
Litt avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Kirkland drives through and clinches with Litt against the cage.

Litt breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kirkland tests Litt's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Litt does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Kirkland has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Kirkland lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Troy Kirkland seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Litt keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Kirkland digs a good hook to Litt's body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Litt creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

You can see the frustration on Kirkland's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kirkland clobbers Litt with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Litt takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Litt dips to his left and cracks Kirkland with an uppercut!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Litt lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kirkland has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kirkland and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Litt is defended easily by Kirkland.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Louie Litt. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kirkland clinches.
Troy Kirkland seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Litt will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Kirkland up against the cage.
Litt misses with a hook to the ribs.

I would just about give that final round to Troy Kirkland.
I think Kirkland has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
