Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Oleg Minakov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lenny Lobov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Lenny Lobov enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lobov feints and as Minakov raises his hands in defense, Lobov changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Minakov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lobov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Minakov wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Lobov postures up in Minakov's guard and throws a big left but Minakov blocks it.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Minakov drives through and clinches with Lobov against the cage.

Lobov throws his legs up looking for a submission but Minakov uses it to pass to side control.
Lobov looks to move to half guard but instead Minakov has passed into mount! Damn!

Lobov's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Lobov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Minakov is working away from the top position though.

Minakov is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lobov defends it well.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lobov can do anything to dispel that myth.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Lobov flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Minakov is keen to just control but Lobov is a slippery customer.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Lobov shoots in but Minakov avoids the takedown attempt easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Oleg Minakov will probably get the nod.

Minakov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lobov tries to avoid it but Minakov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lobov to the ground. Lobov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

And Lobov tries to counter it with a takedown but Minakov pushes his down on his head and steps out.

As Minakov backs off Lobov throws a huge counter combo but Minakov manages to avoid it all.

Minakov fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lobov avoids it really well and circles away.
Minakov swats away the attempt to clinch by Lobov.

Minakov connects with a nice cross there... Lobov is looking wobbly and Minakov recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Lobov to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Minakov jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
