Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lars Hard and Ray Nathan. Lars Hard had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nathan shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Nathan showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Nathan lands a nice short elbow.

Nathan is looking for a kimura but Hard is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Nathan to get the leverage.

Nathan has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hard is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Nathan.

Nathan is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hard pulls his head out easily.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nathan can do anything to dispel that myth.

Nathan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lars Hard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ray Nathan.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Nathan misses with an uppercut. Hard saw that one coming.
Hard wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Hard fails with the takedown.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Ray Nathan will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Hard's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Nathan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hard sprawls well. Hard wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nathan gets slowly back to his feet.

Nathan is pressed up against the cage. Hard has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Nathan down to the mat. Nathan avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Nathan throws a hook but Hard avoids it easily.
Hard appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Nathan drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Hard has picked Nathan up - he's going for a ride! Hard dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Nathan has hold of Hard's hands but Hard slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Ray Nathan is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Horrible takedown attempt by Nathan or perhaps it was just good defense by Hard, which made it look bad.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nathan is defended easily by Hard.
Hard is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Nathan.

Nathan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
