The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Tonttila is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Jones holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Tonttila has had enough of the clinch but Jones keeps him there for the moment.
Tonttila is pressed up against the ropes. Jones has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Tonttila down to the mat. Tonttila avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tonttila tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tonttila to the ground. Tonttila escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
