And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Downes darts in looking for a takedown but Iordanov gets double underhooks and turns Downes into the cage.
Despite the aggression on Iordanov's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Iordanov is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
And Downes counters with a quick kick to the body but Iordanov blocks it.

Downes shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Iordanov's guard.
Iordanov is wriggling around but Downes manages to pass to half guard.

Downes is looking to advance position but Iordanov won't allow it.
Still in half guard, Downes seems content to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Downes trying to mount his opponent but Iordanov defends it.

Downes is trying to work for a kimura but Iordanov is defending well.

Downes is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Iordanov is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
