Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Serder Serderov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Vale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Serderov comes into the arena with One step closer- Linkin Park blaring out of the sound system. Vale has chosen Motorhead-Iron Fist as his entrance music. Serder Serderov could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Simon Vale's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Serder Serderov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Simon Vale!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jonathan Paton and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Serderov keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Vale slaps away a takedown attempt from Serderov, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Serderov misses with a double jab.

Vale lands a left and a right that send Serderov crashing to the mat, dazed. Vale thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

and Serderov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Vale fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Serderov manages to avoid it.

Vale has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Vale throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Serderov sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Serderov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Vale moves away.

Vale thuds a left hand into Serderov's body.
Vale lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

and Serderov counters with a stiff right hand.
Vale attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
It looked like Serderov was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
The fighters circling - Vale throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Vale lands a nice shot to the body.
Vale loads up on a big right hand but Serderov slips the punch.
Serderov throws a big counter combination but Vale scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vale throws a jab when Serderov was well out of range.
Serderov goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Serderov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Serderov looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

and Serderov counters with a left and a right that stings Vale.


It looks like Simon Vale has been cut.
Serderov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vale as he avoids it easily.
Vale throws a hook but Serderov blocks it.
Serderov drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Serderov throws a head kick but Vale moves out of range.
Vale listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Serderov moves forwards but Vale connects with a nice, crisp jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Simon Vale dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Vale pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Vale closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Serderov to the mat! Serderov manages to get full guard.
Vale lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Vale looking to sit in guard and control but Serderov gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


Serderov decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Vale, up you get!
Serderov ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Serderov closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Vale quickly recovers to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Serderov escapes and gets back to his feet.
Vale misses with a left hand
enabling Serderov to counter with a crisp jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Serder Serderov tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
