Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gavin Mccall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dani Padilla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gavin Mccall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dani Padilla!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Matheus Silva and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mccall tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Padilla manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A looping hook to the body misses from Mccall. Padilla does a little dance to reset his feet.

Mccall forces Padilla back against the cage and clinches.
Mccall tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Padilla smiles and moves away.

Padilla closes the distance and pushes Mccall back into the cage.

Padilla pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mccall wants to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A slapping leg kick lands for Padilla.
Mccall chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Padilla can pounce on him.
Mccall looks to land a combination but Padilla avoids it well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Padilla.

Padilla looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Padilla accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Mccall throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Mccall keeping moving, preventing Padilla from controlling successfully.
Padilla is in close to Mccall's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Padilla is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mccall is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mccall has escaped and now he's on top!

Mccall loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Padilla is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Padilla breaks the clinch.

Mccall tries to sprawl but Padilla drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Well, if Padilla is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Mccall keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Mccall really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Padilla is trying to control the action in half guard but Mccall is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Padilla lands with a punch from half guard.
Padilla wants to take a breather but Mccall is having none of it.

Padilla thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Mccall avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Padilla.
Mccall is looking to escape.
Padilla trying to control from half guard but Mccall is working away.

Mccall looking for submissions off his back.
Mccall looks like he's trying to stand up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Padilla is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Padilla throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mccall was covering up waiting for the punch and Padilla finishes the takedown easily into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dani Padilla dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Mccall moves into the clinch.

Padilla gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Mccall regains guard.
Mccall is trying to hold Padilla in close to prevent damage but Padilla has managed to pass into half guard.

Padilla is trying to work for a kimura but Mccall is defending well.
Padilla looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Padilla has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Padilla seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mccall does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Padilla is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mccall sees it coming and defends easily.

Padilla winds up and cracks Mccall with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Padilla looking for a submission but Mccall manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Mccall will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Padilla is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Padilla has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mccall can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Mccall's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Padilla throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Padilla utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Mccall makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Padilla avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Mccall is working Padilla over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Mccall stands and steps away. Padilla gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Mccall jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Padilla walks away with a smile on his face. Mccall gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Padilla tries a head kick but it misses.
Mccall moves out of range of the body kick.

Padilla drives through with a takedown into guard.
Mccall wants to get back to his feet but Padilla passes into half guard.

Mccall is not content to let Padilla control the position.
Mccall wants to get back to full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mccall flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Mccall kicks off Padilla and gets to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Padilla misses with a leg kick
and Mccall counters with a left to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gavin Mccall will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Padilla throws a left and a right that both miss
and Mccall connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Padilla shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Padilla showed some decent athleticism there.
Padilla stops Mccall from getting back to his feet.

Padilla thows a huge punch but Mccall dodges it nicely.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Mccall enables Padilla to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mccall manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

I would just about give that final round to Dani Padilla.
I think Padilla has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
