Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Julio Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wanderlei Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Leandro Rodrigues and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Gracie postures up and lands a big shot to Silva's brow.
Silva not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Gracie lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Silva down.

Gracie has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Gracie is nestled in close to Silva, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Silva is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Gracie scores with a couple of nice shots.
Silva moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Silva is bucking up trying to escape but Gracie cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Silva reaches up to try and control the position but Gracie seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Silva rolls and tries to escape and now Gracie has his back!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Gracie has closed the distance and engaged Silva in a clinch.
Gracie has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Silva is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Gracie has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Gracie!
