Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ronny Darko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alan Shepard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shepard has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Alan Shepard has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alan Shepard!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Darko there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Shepard looks gassed!
A nice inside leg kick there by Darko. That's going to slow Shepard down.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Darko throws a nice inside leg kick.
A head kick lands from Darko that sends Shepard to the canvas. Shepard tries to scramble back to his feet but Darko brings him back down into side control.
It looks like Alan Shepard has been cut.
Darko taking a breather here.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Darko has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Ronny Darko just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Darko has taken the fight to the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Shepard is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Shepard can't break the clinch.
Darko lands an elbow just above Shepard 's eye.
Darko landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Darko has Shepard pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Shepard is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Darko - that's hurt Shepard badly! Oh, another knee lands and Shepard is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Shepard doesn't seem to be complaining.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Ronny Darko!
