Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Cartman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cartman has chosen The Way Of The Fist as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Thiago Alves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eric Cartman!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Hugh Johnson and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cartman dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Cartman moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Alves fails with an attempt to clinch.
Alves scores with a hook to the body. Cartman takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Cartman throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Alves lands a jab to the head.
Alves looks for a takedown but Cartman sprawls well.

Alves drives through and clinches with Cartman against the cage.
Alves takes a knee right on the jaw!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Cartman as Alves tries to tie him up.
Cartman slows down the pace here.

Alves gets control of Cartman's arms and successfully pulls guard. Alves will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Alves working for a triangle but Cartman defends it easily.
Alves bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cartman's guard.

Cartman has a closed guard, preventing Alves from standing up.

Cartman has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Alves off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Alves moves in looking to clinch but Cartman pushes him off.

Cartman gets a clinch.

Cartman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cartman misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Alves fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Alves is breathing heavily.
Cartman punishes Alves's body with a nice straight punch.
Alves tries to land a leg kick but Cartman saw it coming and moves away.
Alves closes the distance and clinches up with Cartman, looking for a takedown. Alves pushes Cartman against the cage but Cartman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thiago Alves. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cartman lands with a right hand.

Cartman scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Cartman has closed the distance and engaged Alves in a clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Alves.
Cartman will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Alves up against the cage.

Cartman gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Cartman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Cartman fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Alves, pushing him back against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Cartman moves into the clinch successfully.
Cartman lands a damaging elbow.

Cartman breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Alves fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Cartman gets a clinch.
Cartman unloads a knee to the mid-section. Alves lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Alves takes an elbow to the temple.
Cartman has Alves pushed against the cage.

Cartman manages to break the clinch.
Cartman throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Cartman ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Cartman connects with a good right hand that stumbles Alves. Alves circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Alves takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Cartman tries a head kick but it misses.
Cartman thuds his right hand into Alves's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Cartman pushes Alves up against the cage in a clinch.
Cartman just leaning against Alves, taking a breather.

Cartman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cartman dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Cartman lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Alves fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Cartman rushes Alves and presses him up against the cage.

Alves pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Alves showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cartman.
Cartman lands with a nice combination. Alves backs away looking to recover.

Alves shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Alves was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Alves looking to control but Cartman is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Alves is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Cartman is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cartman is trying to escape the mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eric Cartman dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Alves closes the distance and clinches.

Cartman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Alves dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Cartman connects with a solid leg kick.
A head kick from Alves lands but Cartman takes it in his stride.
Alves fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Alves tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Alves tries for a takedown but Cartman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Alves has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Alves dodges the punch combination from Cartman.
Alves avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A lazy left from Cartman finds it's target.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cartman comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

and Alves counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cartman won't be happy with that.

Cartman explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

and Cartman counters with a big head kick but Alves shrugs it off.

Cartman turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Cartman throws a nice looking combination but Alves bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Cartman has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

and Alves counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cartman won't be happy with that.

Alves wants to control but Cartman is keeping him busy.
Alves throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Alves trying to control the position but Cartman is working away.
Alves wants to stand but Cartman is controlling his arm.
Cartman wants to control but Alves postures up.
Cartman sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Cartman wants to get back to full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Cartman swats away the attempt to clinch by Alves.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Alves's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Cartman postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Alves is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Cartman with a flurry of punches that miss.
Alves is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Cartman stands up from Alves's guard - Cartman perhaps looking for a knockout.
Cartman misses with a straight left.
Thiago Alves is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Cartman falls off balance throwing a combination

and Alves counters with a takedown into side control.

Cartman is looking for a sweep.
Alves is staying tight to Cartman's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Alves is looking to take a break and control but Cartman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Alves stands up and beckons Cartman to his feet.
No joy there for Cartman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Cartman wants to control from the top but Alves keeps moving.
Alves wants to sweep here but Cartman controlling him for the moment.

Alves wants to clinch up but Cartman keeps it at a distance.
Alves slips a jab and a cross from Cartman.
Cartman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Alves paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Cartman pushes Alves up against the cage in a clinch.
Alves with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Cartman breaks from the clinch.

Alves looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Cartman!
Alves can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Cartman is looking to escape.
Cartman tries to reverse the position but Alves maintains control.
Alves landing strikes from the mount and Cartman is in trouble!

Cartman bucks up and throws Alves to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!

Alves doesn't manage to clinch there - Cartman circles away.

A slapping body kick lands there for Cartman.
Cartman moves out of range of the leg kick from Alves.
Alves misses with a takedown attempt - Cartman sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Alves wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Alves has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cartman is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

No joy there for Cartman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Alves doesn't manage to clinch there - Cartman circles away.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Eric Cartman.
I think Cartman has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
