The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gump gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Gump is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and James defends well.
James really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
James is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Gump is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. James is aware though and is defending well.
Gump is trying to control the position but James postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gump escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. James gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
James is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gump had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. James defends it easily.

Gump is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! James has his hands clasped together but Gump extends and breaks James's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Gump.
