The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruiz doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Jalanan counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Jalanan darts in and clinches Ruiz up against the cage.
Ruiz tries a knee to the head but Jalanan blocks it.
Ruiz stalls.
Ruiz fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Ruiz is breathing heavily.
Ruiz misses with a knee to the head.
Ruiz has Jalanan pressed against the cage, preventing Jalanan from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Ruiz tries a body shot but Jalanan blocks it.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Ruiz just misses with a elbow thrown towards Jalanan's brow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ruiz jumps guard but Jalanan turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Jalanan is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Ruiz is keeping busy.

It looks like Lyndon Ruiz has been cut.

Jalanan shoots in for a takedown. He's got it... He's hoisted his opponent over his head and is carrying him over to the other end of the mat. The crowd roars in approval and Jalanan slams his opponent to the mat. OH, that is naaaaaasty! He's out! Jalanan lands a punch to his unconscious victim for good measure before the ref has time to call the fight.
