The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roberts ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Roberts fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Roberts throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rufus sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Rufus misses the jab.
Roberts drops down looking for a counter takedown but Rufus sprawls and moves away.
Roberts throws an overhand right that lands on Rufus's shoulder, as Rufus tries to avoid the shot.
We've been hearing reports that Roberts has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Rufus stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rufus wants it to stay on the feet.
Rufus throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Rufus gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Roberts to score an easy takedown into full guard.
