With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joel Garcia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alex Cornell!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cornell looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Cornell looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Cornell throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Cornell takes a head kick and shrugs it off.


It looks like Alex Cornell has been cut.
Garcia has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Nice shot lands for Garcia.
Cornell shoots in looking for a takedown. Garcia tries to sprawl out of it but Cornell keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Garcia manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Cornell throws a combination that misses
and Garcia counters with a big head kick but Cornell shrugs it off.


Cornell is rocked!
Cornell misses with a double jab

and Garcia counters with a crisp one two that drops Cornell! Garcia thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Cornell to his feet! Cornell is in big trouble!
Cornell is still on wobbly legs! Can Garcia finish him?
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Cornell crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Garcia - the referee stops the clock and Cornell gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Garcia. Cornell manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Garcia thows a body kick. Cornell tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Garcia fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Cornell.
Garcia lands a front kick.
Garcia feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Cornell's calf.

Nice body kick there by Garcia.
The fighters circle, before Garcia throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Cornell's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Garcia lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
