Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Charles Bronson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Edge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bronson comes to the cage accompanied by Harmonica. Edge has chosen For Heavy Metal we will die! as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edge scores with a jab.
Edge takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Christian Edge seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bronson. Edge does a little dance to reset his feet.
A nice inside leg kick there by Bronson. That's going to slow Edge down.
Edge jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Edge throws a body shot but no joy.
Edge swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Bronson.
Bronson throws a body punch but Edge moves out of range.
Edge throws a solid leg kick but Bronson takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Edge.
Edge takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Edge throws out a loose jab but Bronson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bronson moves forwards but Edge connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Edge walks into a left hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bronson throws a good cross that connects.

Edge uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bronson.
Bronson throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
A jab lands there for Bronson.

Bronson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Edge with the counter takedown but Bronson avoids it easily.
Bronson throws a quick inside leg kick.
Edge lands with a hook. Bronson tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Edge chopping away at his opponent's legs.
We've been told by Bronson's head coaches at Touch-butt with that dork in the park that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Bronson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Edge to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Edge connects with a couple of short punches.
Edge prevents Bronson from getting back to his feet.
Edge has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Bronson wants to stand and escape but Edge is having none of it.
Edge working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bronson is looking to stand up but Edge isn't so interested in that idea.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Edge postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Edge working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bronson's head.
Bronson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Edge postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Oh Bronson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bronson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Edge is controlling him.
Bronson seems to have got his legs back now.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Edge scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Edge goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Edge takes a jab right on the kisser.

Edge feints the counter takedown.

Bronson scores with a decent looking hook.
Bronson moves out of range of the body kick from Edge.
Bronson waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Edge.
Edge throws a lazy uppercut
and Bronson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Good shot there by Bronson.
Charles Bronson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Edge checks the leg kick nicely there.
Edge blocks a jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Edge misses with a kick to the body.
Edge moves out of range of the body kick.
Edge throws a lazy right hand but Bronson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Bronson looks to score with a jab to the body but Edge is just out of range.
Edge displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bronson throws out the jab.
And Edge tries to counter it with a takedown but Bronson pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Bronson thumps Edge with a low kick.
Edge bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Edge connects with a nice looking jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Christian Edge will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Edge tries to land a front kick but Bronson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
An attempted straight right counter from Bronson misses the target.
Edge swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Bronson ducks under a wild hook from Edge.
Edge misses with a straight right.
Edge lands with an uppercut that bounces Bronson off the cage and back into range.
Edge works Bronson's body with a nice hook.
Bronson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Edge finds it's way round the side to connect with Bronson's head.
Bronson throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Edge scores with a counter punch that sends Bronson to the canvas! Edge smells blood - he's punishing Bronson with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Bronson has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

After the fight, Christian Edge was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
