PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Do Hoo Jung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Uli Kunkel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kunkel has chosen Bubbles - Bidibodi Bidibu as his entrance music. Uli Kunkel told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Bart Greer and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kunkel misses with a series of wild punches.
Jung shoots in and drives through. Kunkel sprawls well.
Kunkel lands a nice shot that snaps Jung's head back.
Kunkel tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jung was well out of range. Poor timing from Kunkel.
No joy there for Kunkel, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kunkel misses with an uppercut.
Jung feinted with a counter takedown.
Jung takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Jung uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kunkel.

Jung fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kunkel to the ground. Jung is now in Kunkel's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jung is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Jung prevents Kunkel from getting back to his feet.

Jung drops back looking for a leg! Kunkel is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kunkel manages to kick Jung off! Jung jumps back into Kunkel's guard.
Kunkel can't keep his opponent in guard - Jung advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Jung passes to full mount!
Jung content just to control the position here.
Jung has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Jung's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Kunkel just trying to survive but Jung is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Kunkel is trying to get back to his feet but Jung has full control of the position and if anything, Kunkel has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Kunkel is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Jung.

Jung is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Kunkel with him. Kunkel is trying to defend but Jung has an arm under the chin now! Kunkel grimaces and is forced to tap out!
