PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Geronimo Apache (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noel Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Apache's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Eye of the Tiger. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Geronimo Apache!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Noel Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Apache closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Diaz quickly recovers to half guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Apache thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Diaz seems to have recovered his senses.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Apache has picked Diaz up - he's going for a ride! Apache dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Apache lands a nice short elbow.

In his post fight interview, Geronimo Apache started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
