The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson cracks Vasilyev with an uppercut from hell and Vasilyev crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Thompson's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Vasilyev is rocked!
It looks like Mikhail Vasilyev has been cut.
Vasilyev looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Thompson advances position into side control!
Vasilyev is still in real trouble! Can Thompson finish him?
Thompson is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Vasilyev will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Thompson scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Vasilyev is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Thompson can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
