PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Abraham Donowitz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Star Dust (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Donowitz comes to the cage accompanied by JEW FLOW. Dust is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: For Heavy Metal we will die!. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Abraham Donowitz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Star Dust!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donowitz tries to score with a low kick but Dust moves his leg out of the way.
Donowitz misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Dust cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Donowitz lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Donowitz throws a quick inside leg kick.
Donowitz fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Donowitz closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dust to the mat! Dust manages to get full guard.
Donowitz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dust swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Donowitz controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Dust escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Donowitz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Dust is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Donowitz defends well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close round but I would say that Abraham Donowitz will probably get the nod.

Dust's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Dust tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Donowitz manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
