And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Miller!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller sizes up Cerrone with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Jack Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cerrone looks to score with a jab to the body but Miller is just out of range.
Despite the aggression on Miller's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Cerrone misses with a series of wild punches.
Miller stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Miller avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Miller connects with a body shot.
A telegraphed right hand from Miller misses the target.
An attempted straight right counter from Cerrone misses the target.
Cerrone throws a combination that misses
and Miller counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Cerrone on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Some wild striking there from Miller.
Cerrone was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Cerrone misses with a body shot.
Cerrone has been working on his boxing with his coaches at ~T~ Troid - Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Cerrone takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Cerrone uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Miller.
Cerrone scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!


It looks like Jack Miller has been cut.
Cerrone lands with an uppercut that bounces Miller off the cage and back into range.
Miller swings widly with a right hand
and Cerrone counters with a straight right hand.
Nice jab there from Miller.
Miller connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Cerrone's hands.
A looping hook to the body misses from Miller. Cerrone does a little dance to reset his feet.
Miller throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Cerrone misses with a looping right.
Miller throws an overhand right that lands on Cerrone's shoulder, as Cerrone tries to avoid the shot.
Miller blocks a jab.
Miller appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Miller throws a shot from downtown. Cerrone moves away and avoids it.
Cerrone swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cerrone throws out a loose jab but Miller uses good head movement to avoid it.

Cerrone displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Miller throws out the jab.

Miller scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Miller has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Cerrone throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Cerrone takes a swing at Miller's ribcage but misses.
Cerrone moves out of range as Miller strikes.
Miller scores with a jab to the head.
Cerrone ducks under a wild hook from Miller.

Miller is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Cerrone had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Miller steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cerrone.

Miller throws a big shot that misses.
Miller clobbers Cerrone with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Miller misses with a looping right.
Cerrone misses the body punch
and Miller counters with a straight right hand.
Cerrone scores with a crisp jab that stopped Miller in his tracks.

Cerrone cracks Miller with a big right hand and Miller goes down!


Miller is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cerrone trying to control but Miller is working from the bottom.
Miller is still in real trouble! Can Cerrone finish him?

Miller has his foot on Cerrone's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cerrone works his way back into a safe position though.
Miller seems to have recovered his senses.
Cerrone stands and throws Miller's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Cerrone in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Miller is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). David Cerrone!
