The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Popov or perhaps it was just good defense by Bentley, which made it look bad.
Alexander Popov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bentley forces Popov back against the cage and clinches.
Bentley is trying to push Popov away but Popov has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Popov wants a takedown but no success here.
Popov is working for takedown but Bentley is calmly controlling the position for now.
Hong Bentley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexander Popov.
Popov is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Bentley can't fight it off and eventually Popov manages to take the fight to the floor. Bentley looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Bentley wants to stand up but Popov is controlling him.

Popov wants to stand and escape but Bentley is having none of it.
Popov is pulling down on Bentley's head. It's preventing any offense from Bentley, at least for the moment.

Popov bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bentley's guard.

Popov lands a strong strike to the head of Bentley. That's dazed him! Popov looking to finish here. Bentley is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Popov lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
