Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Simon Marcus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gum Shoe!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marcus shoots in and drives through. Shoe sprawls well.
Shoe pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Marcus shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Shoe but Shoe pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Shoe steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Shoe slips a straight right by Marcus.
That kick from Shoe tenderised Marcus's leg. Marcus is trying to keep his angry face on.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Marcus drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Shoe slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marcus is trying to control the position but Shoe postures up.

As Shoe tries to get set, Marcus tries to push him back and clinch up but Shoe manages to avoid the attempt.

Shoe turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Shoe connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Marcus's hands.
Marcus uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shoe.

Shoe fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Marcus has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Gum Shoe seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Marcus goes for a double leg but Shoe avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Shoe continues to drive forward.

Shoe scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Shoe comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Shoe delivers a nice body kick.
Shoe throws a quick inside leg kick.
Marcus will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Shoe lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Marcus shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Shoe counters with a slapping leg kick.
Shoe digs a good hook to Marcus's body.

Shoe throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Marcus.

Marcus doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Shoe throws a good cross that connects.
Oh Marcus is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Shoe lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
A looping hook to the body misses from Marcus. Shoe does a little dance to reset his feet.
Shoe throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Marcus tries to counter with a takedown but Shoe is quick to defend against it.
Shoe fails to land with a series of punches.
and Shoe counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Marcus! He's just covering up as Shoe starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
