Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dan Gann !
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Steve Montenegro and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gann closes the distance and clinches up with Anderson, looking for a takedown. Gann pushes Anderson against the cage but Anderson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Gann tries to score a power double leg takedown but Anderson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gann somewhat.
Gann shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Anderson as he avoids it easily.

No joy there for Gann , who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Anderson gets caught napping as Gann dives in and scores a takedown. Anderson manages to retain guard.
Gann stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Anderson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gann accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Anderson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gann looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Gann tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Anderson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Gann stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gann wants it to stay on the feet.
Gann is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Anderson throws a head kick but Gann moves out of range.
As Anderson backs off Gann throws a huge counter combo but Anderson manages to avoid it all.

and Anderson counters with a head kick. That will keep Gann thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Anderson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Anderson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
