Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joy Rones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Theodore Montgomery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Theodore Montgomery will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Montgomery closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Montgomery looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Montgomery throws a strike but Rones avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Montgomery postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Montgomery prevents Rones from getting back to his feet.
Montgomery throws a strike but Rones rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Rones wants to stand but Montgomery is controlling his posture from full guard.
Rones trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Montgomery swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rones is looking to stand up but Montgomery won't let him.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Rones displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Montgomery.

It looks like Theodore Montgomery has been cut.

Montgomery feints and as Rones raises his hands in defense, Montgomery changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Montgomery is stalling here. Rones is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Montgomery seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Rones has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Rones scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Rones gets to his feet. Montgomery looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Rones cracks Montgomery with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Rones has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Montgomery to stand back up!

Montgomery is rocked!

Rones unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Montgomery! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Rones is unloading with more strikes now! Montgomery drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
