Scorpion comes to the cage accompanied by ˇMAYDAY! - Last One Standing. Burns has chosen as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Scorpion has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Burns throws a hook to the side of Scorpion's head but Scorpion sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Scorpion shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Burns sprawls well. Burns wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Scorpion gets slowly back to his feet.

A little jabbing left from Burns on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Burns.

Burns slips a straight right by Scorpion.
It seemed like Burns was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Scorpion connects with a body shot that sends Burns's belly button to the back.
The fighters circling - Burns throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Burns uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Scorpion.
Scorpion comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Burns tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Scorpion was well out of range. Poor timing from Burns.

Scorpion fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Burns on the side of the head.
Scorpion slips a straight right by Burns.

Ranky Scorpion seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Burns motions for Scorpion to come forward. Burns throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Scorpion misses the shot to the body.

Burns misses with a straight right.
Burns scores with a nice strike.
Scorpion fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Burns manages to avoid it.
It seemed like Burns was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Scorpion swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Burns.
Burns misses with a looping right.
Scorpion slips under a jab from Burns.
A looping hook to the body misses from Scorpion. Burns does a little dance to reset his feet.
Scorpion lands with a straight right. Burns didn't see that one coming.
Scorpion lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Burns lands a big uppercut and Scorpion crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Scorpion looks OK. Burns waves Scorpion back to his feet!
Oh Scorpion is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Burns counters with a huge right that knocks Scorpion out cold! Burns is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!

An out of breath Connor Mac Burns thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
Ranky Scorpion spoke after the fight, saying 'jj why don't you learn to do sliders right already shit'.
