Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Moran Elishav (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergey Petrowsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Elishav's entrance music is Only God Can Judge Me. A fine choice. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Sergey Petrowsky enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Moran Elishav!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sergey Petrowsky!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Sandra Marshall and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elishav misses with a takedown attempt
and Petrowsky counters with a straight right hand.
Petrowsky misses with a kick to the body.
Elishav throws a right hand that Petrowsky ducks under and follows up with a left that Petrowsky also avoids with ease.
Petrowsky connects with a body shot.

Petrowsky drives through and clinches with Elishav against the cage.

Elishav breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Elishav rushes Petrowsky and presses him up against the cage.

Petrowsky manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Petrowsky lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Petrowsky slips a jab and a cross from Elishav.
Elishav throws a low kick but Petrowsky moves out of range easily.
Petrowsky wants to counter the offense by Elishav and move into the clinch position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Petrowsky tries to close the distance and clinch but Elishav swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
As Petrowsky tries to get set, Elishav tries to push him back and clinch up but Petrowsky manages to avoid the attempt.

Petrowsky tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Elishav defends well and Petrowsky ends up having to push Elishav into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Elishav manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Petrowsky on his heels. He'll look to pass Petrowsky's guard now, I'm sure.
Petrowsky wants to stand up but Elishav is controlling him.
Petrowsky is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Petrowsky tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Petrowsky wants to stand and escape but Elishav is having none of it.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Petrowsky throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Elishav's head.

Elishav drives through and clinches with Petrowsky against the cage.
Petrowsky is trying to push Elishav away but Elishav has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Elishav jumps into guard, dragging Petrowsky to the mat.
Elishav wants to get back to his feet but Petrowsky is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Petrowsky really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Elishav. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Elishav is pulling down on Petrowsky's head. It's preventing any offense from Petrowsky, at least for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Elishav wants to stand up but Petrowsky is controlling him.

Elishav is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Elishav is breathing heavily.
Petrowsky trying to stand up but can't free himself from Elishav's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Elishav has his foot on Petrowsky's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Petrowsky works his way back into a safe position though.
Petrowsky won't allow Elishav to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Petrowsky wants to stand but Elishav has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Petrowsky gets to his feet - Elishav follows without any prompting.

and Petrowsky counters with a left and a right that stings Elishav.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Elishav throws a combination that misses
and Petrowsky connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Petrowsky.
Elishav tries for a takedown but Petrowsky circles away easily
and Petrowsky counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Elishav closes the distance and clinches up with Petrowsky, looking for a takedown. Elishav pushes Petrowsky against the cage but Petrowsky circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Petrowsky wants to counter the offense by Elishav and move into the clinch position.
Petrowsky pushes Elishav away with a front kick.

Petrowsky gets the takedown into side control.
Elishav wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.

Petrowsky has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Elishav makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Elishav.
Petrowsky tries to free his leg and advance position but Elishav is retaining full guard.
Petrowsky postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Elishav bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Petrowsky's guard.


Elishav drops back looking for a leg! Petrowsky is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Petrowsky manages to kick Elishav off! Elishav jumps back into Petrowsky's guard.

Petrowsky wants to stand up but Elishav is controlling him.
Elishav slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Elishav gets to his feet - Petrowsky follows without any prompting.
Elishav shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Moran Elishav. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Elishav goes for a double leg but Petrowsky avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Petrowsky continues to drive forward.

Petrowsky goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Elishav looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Moran Elishav is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Petrowsky feints a jab promting Elishav to slip. Petrowsky then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Elishav slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Sergey Petrowsky showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Petrowsky throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Elishav stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Elishav moves in looking to clinch but Petrowsky pushes him off.

Petrowsky throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Elishav was covering up waiting for the punch and Petrowsky finishes the takedown easily into guard.
