The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Eddie Farnsworth and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abdullah blocks a jab.
Bosh is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Bosh fails with a takedown attempt.
Abdullah changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Bosh enables Abdullah to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bosh manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Bosh throws his legs up looking for a submission but Abdullah uses it to pass to side control.
Bosh gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Bosh is in all sorts of trouble here.
Abdullah lands a big shot there that rocks Bosh but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Bosh wants to control but Abdullah is having none of it.
Abdullah has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Abdullah cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Abdullah wants to control the pace but Bosh is squirming around nicely.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Abdullah lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Bosh is rocked!
Abdullah postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Bosh in real trouble here! The ref calls for Bosh to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rahkim Abdullah!
An out of breath Rahkim Abdullah thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
