The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bud connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ferreira. Ferreira circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Ferreira checks a leg kick.
Bud moves out of range of the strikes.
Ferreira fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bud manages to avoid it.
Nice defenses there by Ferreira.
Ferreira avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Ferreira looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Bud lands a nice shot that snaps Ferreira's head back.

Bud throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Bud stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Ferreira tries to counter with a clinch but Bud shakes him off and moves away.

Bud connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ferreira momentarily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ferreira's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Bud takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ferreira takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Bud cracks Ferreira on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Ferreira falls backwards against the cage. Bud follows up with more strikes that drop Ferreira to his knees. Bud keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Ferreira! This one is all over!
