Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gegard Mousasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lars Fredrickson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mousasi might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Eminem - 'Till I Collapse. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mousasi tries to close the distance and clinch but Fredrickson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Fredrickson moves into the clinch successfully.
Mousasi wants to get back to striking at distance but Fredrickson won't allow it.

Fredrickson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mousasi staying out of range there.

Fredrickson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mousasi's guard.

Fredrickson has hold of Mousasi's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Mousasi manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
