Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Silva Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carter Avila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Avila clinches.

Avila jumps guard.

Gracie is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Avila swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Avila really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gracie with a flurry of punches that miss.
Gracie trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Avila seems keen to control Gracie's posture.
Gracie trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Avila is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Gracie dives into side control.
Gracie is working Avila over with some ground and pound from side control.

Gracie trying to control the position but Avila is working away.
Gracie lands some shots froms side control.
Gracie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Gracie creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Gracie looks up at the clock and then as Avila takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Gracie smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Avila tries to buck Gracie off but Gracie is having none of it.

Gracie has hold of Avila's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Avila tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gracie cranks the arm and Avila screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Avila, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
