Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Jake Blade!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Baby Boy Harris!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Eddie Farnsworth and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Blade misses its intended target.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Harris! But no joy.
Blade will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A nice side step and Harris releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Harris throws out a loose jab but Blade uses good head movement to avoid it.

Blade throws an off balance right hand
and Harris counters with a nice uppercut.
Harris misses with an uppercut
and Blade counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Harris misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Blade.
Harris scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Blade doesn't seem bothered though.

Blade takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Harris loads up on a big right hand but Blade slips the punch.
Harris lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Harris is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Blade moves forwards but Harris connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Harris might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Harris gets caught flat footed, as Blade shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Harris pulls Blade in close to his closed guard and prevents Blade from doing any damage or advancing position.

Blade is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Harris wants to stand but Blade is controlling the position.
Harris has control of Blade's left arm, preventing Blade from doing any damage.
Blade not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Blade stands and steps away. Harris gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Blade throws a one two combo.
Blade does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Harris tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Blade was well out of range. Poor timing from Harris.

Harris is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Blade had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
The fighters circling - Harris throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Harris lands with an uppercut that bounces Blade off the cage and back into range.

Blade fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Harris has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Harris lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Blade backwards.
Harris goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Blade's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Baby Boy Harris dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Blade throws an overhand right that lands on Harris's shoulder, as Harris tries to avoid the shot.

Blade uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Harris.

A relieved looking Jake Blade thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
