Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Steven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ernesto Suarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steven comes into the arena with "Hip To Be Square," by Huey Lewis and the News blaring out of the sound system. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Steven rushes Suarez and presses him up against the cage.

Steven lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Suarez wants to get back to full guard but Steven has mounted him!
Steven postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Suarez looks a forlorn figure.

Steven jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Suarez manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Steven wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Suarez, who protects the arm well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Suarez is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Steven lands a nice forearm strike.
Steven has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Suarez tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Steven has control of an arm but Suarez manages to advance to Steven's back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Steven lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Suarez is still in real trouble! Can Steven finish him?
Steven wants to control but Suarez is keeping busy.
Suarez seems to have recovered his senses.

Steven is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Suarez is defending well though. Steven let's go of the attempt for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Suarez is taking damage to the body and head.

Steven working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Suarez is doing well to defend. Steven seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Suarez is forced to tap and this one is over!
