The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson throws a head kick but Daniels moves out of range.
Daniels has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Johnson is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Johnson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Daniels shoots in for a double leg but Johnson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Daniels.

Daniels drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Daniels looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Johnson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Johnson looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Daniels wants to work for an arm triangle but Johnson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Daniels is nestled in close to Johnson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Daniels uses his free foot to push down on Johnson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Johnson.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Daniels lands a nice short elbow.

Daniels lands a big elbow - Johnson is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Daniels!
