Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Troy Morin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ding Ling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Troy Morin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ding Ling!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ling tries to clinch up
and Morin counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Ling defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Morin.
Ling tries to clinch up but Morin circles away and keeps his distance.
Ling misses with a head kick.
Ling tries to close the distance and clinch up but Morin swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A looping hook to the body misses from Morin. Ling does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ding Ling seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ling clinches up with Morin and pushes him back against the cage.
Morin has Ling pressed against the cage, preventing Ling from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Morin slows down the pace here.
Morin misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Ling.

Ling is trying to push Morin away but Morin has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Ling wants to break the clinch but can't.
Ling is struggling to control the position.

Ling's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Morin changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ling looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Ling is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Ling seems a little lost for a moment, as Morin dominates the positioning.
Morin's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Morin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Morin is trying to ground and pound but Ling uses the momentary lack of control by Morin to regain half guard.
Ling makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ling.
Morin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Morin stops Ling from standing up.
Morin controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Morin trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Morin is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Ling wants to sweep but no luck.
Morin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Morin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Ling is trying to control the position but Morin postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Ling moves into the clinch.

Ling escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ling looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Morin is fending him off so far but Ling persists. Nope, Morin circles away and we're back to standing.
No luck for Morin with that takedown attempt.

Ling takes the fight into the clinch.

Ling drags the fight down to the ground.
Morin wants to control from the top but Ling keeps moving.
Ling wants to get back to his feet but Morin is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Morin sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Ling wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Morin moves into range and clinches up with Ling.

Ling wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Ling tries to circle away but Morin has him pinned against the cage.

Ling manages to break the clinch.
Ling shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Morin sprawls well. Morin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ling gets slowly back to his feet.

Morin tries to pull guard but Ling holds him up against the cage and eventually Morin drops back down to his feet.

Morin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ling tries to close the distance and clinch but Morin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ling pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ling misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ling tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Ling tries for a takedown but Morin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Morin appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Troy Morin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ding Ling.
Ling tries to close the distance and clinch up but Morin swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Ling stuffs the takedown attempt from Morin. Morin gets slowly back to his feet.
Ling keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Morin dives in and grabs Ling's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ling pushes down on Morin's head and hops out.

Morin manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ling on his heels. He'll look to pass Ling's guard now, I'm sure.

Morin postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ling is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Morin, into his guard.

Ling forces his way into half guard.

Ling is looking for a kimura here.
Morin wants to get back to full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Ling content to control rather than advance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Ding Ling will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Morin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Ling is trying hard to land a takedown here. Morin sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Ling shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Morin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ling tries to avoid it but Morin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ling to the ground. Ling escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ling looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Morin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ling avoids it really well and circles away.

Ling scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Morin makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Morin closes the distance and clinches up with Ling, looking for a takedown. Morin pushes Ling against the cage but Ling circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Morin moves into range and clinches up with Ling.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ling blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Ling has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Ling wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Morin has him pressed against the cage.
Ling blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Ling's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ling will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Morin keeps the fight on the outside.

Ling is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Ling breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ling.

Morin drives through with a takedown into Ling's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Troy Morin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ding Ling is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Morin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

I would just about give that final round to Ding Ling.
I've got Ling winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
