The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrowsky throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kasanova.
Kasanova looks for a takedown but Petrowsky sprawls well.
Kasanova fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Petrowsky finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
As Petrowsky tries to get set, Kasanova tries to push him back and clinch up but Petrowsky manages to avoid the attempt.

Kasanova has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kasanova dives in and grabs Petrowsky's left leg, looking for a takedown. Petrowsky pushes down on Kasanova's head and hops out.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Petrowsky, as that shot connected.

No joy there for Petrowsky, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Petrowsky misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kasanova attempts a counter takedown but Petrowsky avoids it well and moves away.
Petrowsky feints and then cracks Kasanova's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kasanova down.

Kasanova changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Petrowsky tries to avoid it but Kasanova manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Petrowsky to the ground. Petrowsky escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Petrowsky lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Petrowsky pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kasanova back to the cage. Petrowsky follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Petrowsky tries to bum rush Kasanova with a series of wild strikes but Kasanova uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Petrowsky has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Petrowsky shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kasanova eats them both and turns towards Petrowsky to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Alex Kasanova has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sergey Petrowsky is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
