Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marick Lobowsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Madrigal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Madrigal shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lobowsky swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Madrigal lands with a slapping head kick.
Madrigal shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lobowsky pinned against the cage. Lobowsky gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A counter left hand to the body from Lobowsky misses its target.

Madrigal drives through and clinches with Lobowsky against the cage.

Lobowsky definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Lobowsky wants to get up but he can't break Madrigal's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Madrigal drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lobowsky pulls his leg out and moves away.

Madrigal has one foot on Lobowsky's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lobowsky's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Lobowsky is looking to stand back up but Madrigal counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Lobowsky.

After the fight, Marick Lobowsky was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
