Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Antero Vipunen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pumba Ottavainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vipunen comes into the arena with Onward to Victory blaring out of the sound system. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ottavainen misses with a low kick as Vipunen jumps back.

Ottavainen knocks Vipunen to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?

Vipunen is rocked!

It looks like Antero Vipunen has been cut.
Ottavainen tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Oh Vipunen is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Vipunen misses with a strike from the bottom.
Vipunen seems to have got his legs back now.
Vipunen tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Vipunen is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Ottavainen's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Ottavainen tries to stand and escape but Vipunen is controlling the position.

Ottavainen is taking a breather. Vipunen says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Ottavainen misses with an uppercut. Vipunen saw that one coming.
Vipunen slips under a jab.
Ottavainen misses with a two punch combination.
Pumba Ottavainen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ottavainen lands a nice shot to the body.
Ottavainen looks to land a right hand but Vipunen moved out of range.
Pumba Ottavainen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vipunen takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Vipunen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Vipunen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Vipunen slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Vipunen has hold of Ottavainen's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Ottavainen seems comfortable defending it but Vipunen has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Ottavainen is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Ottavainen is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Vipunen couldn't care less - he's delighted!
