Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hooligan gets caught napping as Robles dives in and scores a takedown. Hooligan manages to retain guard.
Robles is standing up over Hooligan. Hooligan looks to escape but Robles dives into side control.
Hooligan is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Robles asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Robles is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hooligan is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Hooligan is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it.
Hooligan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Robles pinned against the cage. Robles gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hooligan darts in looking for a takedown but Robles gets double underhooks and turns Hooligan into the cage.

Robles ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Hooligan feints and as Robles raises his hands in defense, Hooligan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Robles steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hooligan.
Robles fails to land the takedown.
Horrible takedown attempt by Robles or perhaps it was just good defense by Hooligan, which made it look bad.
Hooligan throws a jab but it's blocked by Robles.
It looked like Robles was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Hooligan closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Robles quickly recovers to half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hooligan postures up and lands a big shot to Robles's brow.

Robles lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Robles gets to his feet - Hooligan follows without any prompting.
Robles tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Robles slips a jab and a cross from Hooligan.

English Hooligan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hooligan slaps away a takedown attempt from Robles, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Hooligan swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Renato Robles. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Robles will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Robles really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Hooligan closes the distance and clinches up with Robles, looking for a takedown. Hooligan pushes Robles against the cage but Robles circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Robles has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Hooligan is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Hooligan can't get the takedown.

Robles manages to pull guard.
Robles looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hooligan is one step ahead there.
Hooligan with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Hooligan lands a couple of elbows.
Robles thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Robles is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Hooligan presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Robles breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Hooligan manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Robles on his heels. He'll look to pass Robles's guard now, I'm sure.

Robles manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Hooligan throws a good cross that connects.
Hooligan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Robles closes the distance looking to clinch
and Hooligan counters with a nice uppercut.
Hooligan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Robles sprawls well. Robles wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hooligan gets slowly back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Hooligan gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Hooligan pushes Robles off and scrambles back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Hooligan closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Hooligan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Robles. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Robles is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Hooligan looks like he's trying to stand up.
Robles is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hooligan can do to turn this around?

Hooligan kicks off Robles and gets to his feet.
Hooligan feints a jab promting Robles to slip. Hooligan then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Robles slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Robles is rocked!
Renato Robles is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Robles is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Hooligan moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
