Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nosyaj Rram (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hwai Ja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rram comes into the arena with Grace - You Don't Own Me ft. G-Eazy blaring out of the sound system. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nosyaj Rram!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hwai Ja!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rram takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Ja has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Rram is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Ja misses with a body punch
and Rram counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Ja jabbing away but nothing is landing.
It looked like Rram was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Ja tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rram swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Ja clinches with his opponent.

Rram pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ja catches Rram with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Ja has closed the distance and engaged Rram in a clinch.
Ja works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Ja misses with a knee to the head.

Rram manages to break the clinch.
Ja misses with a looping left.
Ja slips under a jab from Rram.
Rram has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Rram there as he acknowledges the shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rram throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ja loads up on a big right hand but Rram slips the punch.
Ja lands a right hook to the body.
Rram fails to land with a series of punches.
Ja looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Ja just misses with a punch to the body.
Rram appears to be looking for a big counter.
Ja slips a straight right by Rram.
Ja fails to land with a series of punches.
A little feinted left hand from Rram on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Rram uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ja.
Rram swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
A chopping leg kick lands by Ja.
Ja lands an overhand right.

Ja forces Rram back against the cage and clinches.
Rram has had enough of the clinch but Ja keeps him there for the moment.
Ja has Rram pressed against the cage, preventing Rram from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ja tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Rram can't break the clinch.

and Rram counters with a series of strikes. Ja will be more careful next time no doubt.

and Rram counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Ja throws a leg kick which misses Rram's front leg but catches the back leg as Rram tries to avoid it.
Ja looks to land a right hand but Rram moved out of range.
Rram lands a nice shot to the body.

Ja slips a jab and a cross from Rram.

Rram uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ja has time to react.
Ja is still on wobbly legs! Can Rram finish him?
Jab, jab by Ja - just one landing.

Rram cracks Ja with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Ja tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Rram pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Ja is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nosyaj Rram!
