The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mckenzie shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Ikban eats them both and turns towards Mckenzie to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Ikban works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Mckenzie tries to pull guard but Ikban holds him up against the cage and eventually Mckenzie drops back down to his feet.
Mckenzie drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ikban connects with a knee to the head.

It looks like Lenny Mckenzie has been cut.
The referee is keeping an eye on Ikban - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Ikban lands on the inside with an uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ikban lands with a short shot to the head.
