Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batiatus swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Guba.
Batiatus digs a good body shot into Guba's ribs.
Batiatus doesn't manage to clinch there - Guba circles away.
Guba half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Batiatus sizes up Guba with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Batiatus lands a right hook to the body.
Batiatus stalks Guba and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Guba's face. Guba staggers backwards, shaken.
Guba has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Batiatus uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Guba.
Batiatus misses with a double jab

and Guba counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Guba slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Guba pushing down on Batiatus's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Guba has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Batiatus defend it? Guba steps over the head and cranks it - Batiatus is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Guba!
