Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marc Shelton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duke Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelson has chosen Bombs Away by Whole Wheat Bread as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Shelton eats them both and turns towards Nelson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like Marc Shelton has been cut.
Shelton throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Shelton moves out of range of the strikes.
Danga de danga de dang - Shelton scores with a four punch combination!
Nelson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Shelton lands with an overhand left.
Nelson throws a body punch but Shelton moves out of range.
Shelton jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Shelton's jab looks to have found its range, popping Nelson under the eye.
Shelton cracks Nelson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Shelton lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Nelson throws a lazy uppercut
and Shelton counters with a nice uppercut.
Nelson's coach down at Harambe Remembrance Hall was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Nelson's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Nelson looks to score with a jab to the body but Shelton is just out of range.
Nelson throws a series of punches but Shelton avoids them all with ease.
Nelson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

and Nelson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Shelton moves into range and clinches up with Nelson.
Nelson tries to break the clinch but Shelton is controlling the position.
Shelton lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Shelton scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Nelson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Shelton has Nelson pressed against the cage, preventing Nelson from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Nelson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Shelton lands a huge punch on the inside that knocks Nelson senseless! Wow, what a way to end the fight!
