Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Floorman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Logan Bowes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, George Floorman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Logan Bowes!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, David Schapiro and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowes throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Floorman.
Floorman circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bowes tries to clinch but Floorman moves out of range.
Bowes moves in looking to clinch but Floorman pushes him off.

Bowes decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Bowes is keen to just control but Floorman is a slippery customer.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bowes in particular looking to stall.
Bowes prevents Floorman from improving his position.
Floorman is trying to stand.
Floorman wants to control but Bowes is keeping busy.
Floorman is trying to stand back up but Bowes is controlling him
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Floorman wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bowes wants to take a breather but Floorman is having none of it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bowes misses with a head kick.

and Bowes counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Floorman wants to control but Bowes is keeping busy.

Bowes is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Floorman sees it coming and defends easily.

Floorman tries to get to full guard but Bowes has control of the leg.
Floorman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bowes is working away from the top position though.

Floorman makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Bowes throws a sloppy head kick and Floorman moves out of range easily.

Bowes is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

and Bowes counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Floorman is breathing heavily.
Floorman keeping moving, preventing Bowes from controlling successfully.
Bowes stops Floorman from standing up.
Bowes tries to free his leg and advance position but Floorman is retaining full guard.
Bowes wants to get up but he can't break Floorman's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Floorman wants to stand but Bowes is controlling the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Floorman tries to clinch up but Bowes circles away and keeps his distance.

Floorman looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Bowes!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Logan Bowes dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Floorman is looking to clinch but Bowes is avoiding it.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Bowes fails to land with a series of punches.

and Bowes counters with a shoot takedown. Floorman fights it but they end up in guard.
Bowes not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Bowes decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Floorman shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Floorman showed some decent athleticism there.

The fighters are battling for position here. Bowes manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Bowes bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Floorman's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bowes prevents Floorman from getting back to his feet.

Floorman is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Floorman wants to stand up but Bowes is controlling him.

Bowes postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Floorman is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bowes, into his guard.

Floorman postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bowes can do anything to dispel that myth.

Bowes working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Floorman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Floorman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Logan Bowes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Floorman stuffs the takedown attempt from Bowes. Bowes gets slowly back to his feet.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Floorman is on top in guard.

Floorman is looking for a kimura but Bowes is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Floorman to get the leverage.
Floorman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Floorman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Bowes lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bowes.

Bowes changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Floorman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Bowes tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
You can see the frustration on Floorman's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Bowes stops Floorman from getting back to his feet.

Floorman is looking to improve his position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Bowes closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Floorman to the mat! Floorman manages to get full guard.

Bowes tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Floorman just stands there and leans against the cage.

Floorman gets control of Bowes's arms and successfully pulls guard. Floorman will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Floorman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Bowes tries to get to full guard but Floorman has control of the leg.

George Floorman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Logan Bowes comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Bowes winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
