The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Backslash bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Spijkers looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Backslash happy to just control the position for now.
Backslash looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Spijkers is avoiding damage well.
Backslash creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Spijkers sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Backslash is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Spijkers is trying to escape and Backslash transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Spijkers is forced to tap! Nice work there by Backslash! Very nice indeed!
