Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mateusz Kijek!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Hugh Johnson and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kijek closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Kijek gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Christian has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Kijek off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Christian works over Kijek's head and body with a nice combination.

Kijek gets a takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kijek is keen to just control but Christian is a slippery customer.
It looks like Kijek is going to stand back up.
Christian makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Christian.
Kijek stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Christian swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kijek is sitting in close to Christian's body. Christian has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Kijek is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Kijek is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Christian.
