Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rickety Cricket!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raymondo Romero!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romero lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Cricket looks to score with a jab to the body but Romero is just out of range.

Romero gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Romero presses Cricket against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Romero pushes Cricket back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Romero lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Cricket backwards.
Cricket misses with the head strike.
Romero has a couple of punches blocked by Cricket.
Romero controlling the action here for a moment.

Romero escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Romero scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Cricket doesn't seem bothered though.

Romero cracks Cricket with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Romero tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cricket paws at him with a jab and circles away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Romero closes the distance looking to clinch
and Cricket cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Cricket throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Romero sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Cricket gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Cricket definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Romero steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cricket.
Cricket misses with a hook. Romero ducked under it nicely.
Romero steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Cricket.
Romero works Cricket's body with a nice hook.
Cricket rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Romero moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Romero has Cricket up against the cage in a clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Romero.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Romero pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Romero is looking to clinch but Cricket is avoiding it.

and Romero takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Romero dodges the punch combination from Cricket.
Cricket throws a lazy right hand but Romero sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Cricket clobbers Romero with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cricket throws a shot from downtown. Romero moves away and avoids it.
Romero avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Cricket takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
A looping hook to the body misses from Romero. Cricket does a little dance to reset his feet.
A decent looking cross lands there for Cricket.
Romero scores with a hook to the body. Cricket takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Cricket needs to keep his hands up - Romero had a free shot at his head there.

Cricket is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Romero's corner calls for a 1-2. Romero obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

and Cricket counters with a nice uppercut.
Nice shot lands for Romero.
Romero walks into a left hand.
Cricket jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Romero takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Cricket takes one to the side of the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Romero throws an overhand right that drops Cricket like a sack of potatoes! Romero dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
