The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heughan closes the distance and clinches.
Heughan lands an elbow that stopped Savano in his tracks for a moment.
Savano goes for a takedown attempt but Heughan pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Heughan moves into range and clinches up with Savano.
Heughan lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Savano is trying to break free.
Savano is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Heughan to keep the fight standing.
Heughan lands a nice elbow.
Heughan misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Nice elbow from Heughan.
Savano takes an elbow to the temple.
Heughan tries to work over Savano's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Heughan lands an elbow inside.
Savano pulls Heughan into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Heughan would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Heughan drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Savano dives on top into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Savano trying to control but Heughan is working from the bottom.
Savano in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Savano stands up over Heughan, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Heughan seems keen to control Savano's posture.
Savano wants to control from the top but Heughan keeps moving.
Savano pushing down on Heughan's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Heughan tries to kick Savano off in order to stand up. Savano Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Savano wants to control but Heughan is keeping him busy.
Heughan tries to bench press Savano off him but Savano keeps the position.
Savano is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Heughan has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Heughan is trying to get back to half guard.
Savano connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Heughan some visible discomfort.
Savano has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Heughan!
Savano in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Savano trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Savano is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Heughan to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Heughan shrugs it off.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Savano working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Heughan looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Savano! Submission of the night perhaps?
