Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dmitry Maximov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Charyak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maximov comes to the cage accompanied by Fedor's Entrance Theme. Charyak is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Guns and Roses- Welcome to the Jungle. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Charyak avoids a punch combination nicely.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Charyak closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Charyak works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Maximov manages to work his way to half guard, despite Charyak's best efforts.

Charyak is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Maximov tries to roll over but Charyak keeps him under control.

Charyak is looking to take a break and control but Maximov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Maximov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Charyak connects with a nice short shot to Maximov's temple.

Maximov tries to buck Charyak off but Charyak is having none of it.

Charyak is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Maximov can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Charyak has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Maximov's face.

Maximov is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Charyak locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Maximov is forced to tap!
