Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kane Shaam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arman Shaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kane Shaam!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Arman Shaker!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaam throws a wild body kick that Shaker sees coming a mile off.
Shaker throws a quick inside leg kick.
Shaker motions for Shaam to come forward. Shaker throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Shaam showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Shaker.
We've been informed that Shaker has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Shaam lands a jab.
Shaam misses with an uppercut. Shaker saw that one coming.
Shaker lands with an uppercut that bounces Shaam off the cage and back into range.
Shaker throws a hook but Shaam avoids it easily.
Shaker ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Shaam moves away.
Shaam delivers a nice body kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shaker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shaam moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
It looked like Shaam was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Shaker lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Shaker throws a lazy right hand but Shaam sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Shaker takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Some bone on bone action there as Shaam checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Shaam swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Shaam catches Shaker with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Shaker lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Shaker takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

A telegraphed right hand from Shaker misses the target.
Shaam throws a body shot but no joy.
Shaam missing with a left hand there. Shaker was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Shaam throws a lazy right hand but Shaker sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Shaker follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Shaker bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Shaam's head.

Shaker fails to land the takedown.
Shaker misses with a looping right.

Shaam tries a head kick but it misses.
A countering left hand to the body from Shaker misses.

Shaker avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Shaam moves away from the strike by Shaker.
Shaam uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Shaker has time to react.
Shaam throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Shaker moves out of range of the body kick.
Shaker shoots in but Shaam avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A jab lands there for Shaam.
The crowd cheers as Shaker lands an impressive looking overhand right. Shaam doesn't seem phased though.
Shaam steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Shaker.
Shaker thows a leg kick but Shaam checks it
and Shaam counters with an outside leg kick.
Shaam throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Shaker scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Shaam doesn't seem bothered though.

Shaker throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Shaam throws a hook but Shaker avoids it easily.
Shaker let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Nice defenses there by Shaker.
Shaker connects with an inside leg kick.
Shaam jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Shaam misses with a wild body shot.
Shaam throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Shaker crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Shaam - the referee stops the clock and Shaker gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Shaam. Shaker manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Shaam closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Shaam ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Shaker gets the takedown into side control.
Shaker trying to control the action but Shaam is working from the bottom.
Shaker is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Shaam will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shaam is looking for a sweep.
Shaker tries to advance to mount but Shaam denies him.
The referee asks Shaker politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Shaker prefers to stall for the moment though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Arman Shaker will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Shaam attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Shaam shoots in for a double leg but Shaker sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Shaam looks to land a left hand but Shaker moved out of range nicely.

Kane Shaam is winning the standup battle so far.
Shaker does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Shaker lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Shaam throws a shot from downtown. Shaker moves away and avoids it.

Shaker closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Shaam to the mat! Shaam manages to get full guard.

Shaker pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Shaam is keeping the position for now.

Shaker is looking to work some ground and pound but Shaam has wrist control.
Shaam wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Shaam is on top in guard.

Shaam goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Shaker has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Shaam but great work by Shaker.

Arman Shaker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Arman Shaker is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Shaker wants to control from the top but Shaam keeps moving.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Shaker slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Shaker uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Arman Shaker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Shaker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
